IMPROVED Broad support for video input devices - StreamAuthor supports the latest DV camcorders and records video using various formats such as DVD and HDV. Imported video content such as product demos, training videos, and TV clips add an impressive element to any StreamAuthor presentation. Videos can be captured from USB cameras, camcorders, TV-tuner cards (via a video capture card) and from DV and HDV camcorders.
IMPROVED Broad support for importing data files - Users can import content in the form of: PDF files, PowerPoint slides, Word and Excel files, TXT, Macromedia Flash, and HTML. Images can also be imported into StreamAuthor in GIF, JPG, BMP and PNG format.
NEW Smart PDF Converter - Allows the importing of pdf files and their auto conversion into image files. Pages are split intelligently to fit into a PowerPoint presentation, ensuring better readability.
Live video recording - StreamAuthor can be used to record live video via DV camcorder or webcam. This feature allows trainers and lecturers to record themselves or others and add a more human touch to their presentation materials.

Presenters can also add links to the web or an intranet, add corporate logos and other images or banners. Built-in templates offer sample screen layouts in a broad selection of easy-to-use styles.

With built-in pen tools and an ¡°add blank slide¡± feature, StreamAuthor´s work environment provides a familiar television and blackboard metaphor for recording, reviewing and laying out a complete presentation. Presenters can even manually adjust the size and position of objects using Template Editor, allowing them to customize the look and feel of their StreamAuthor presentations.

NEW Easy Presentation Mode - Users simply import one PowerPoint file; no other complex configurations are required. When recording is finished, StreamAuthor saves the presentation immediately. There are no complex publishing procedures either.
Full Screen mode - Full Screen Mode provides an efficient way of making learning content quickly with familiar full-screen slide presentations. Presentation recordings can be switched to Live Screen to capture live demonstrations.
Studio Mode - Studio Mode combines several tools to help users make professional learning content. In studio mode users can synchronize their PowerPoint slides and video playback, edit a table of contents, change the template image and add a watermark image on the video. The Studio Mode Timeline features tracks for laying out video clips, audio, and slides. What´s more, presenters can manually adjust the audio volume of video with pinpoints along its audio track. This allows recorded narration on the second audio track to be heard as a voice over to both video and PowerPoint content. The second track can also be used for adding background music.
Pen Tools: drawing and highlighting - StreamAuthor´s Pen Tools let presenters emphasize screen content by drawing lines or other shapes on any presentation page. Viewers can then be guided to focus on certain sections of the screen, just as if watching a live demonstration with someone writing on a white board. NEW Portable Project Archive - Users can export and import entire projects as a portable project archive, allowing the editing of StreamAuthor projects between different PCs and multiple authors.
Support for Multiple SCO from SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 ¡ª SCORM is an internationally recognized eLearning standard renowned for its durability and interoperability of learning content. StreamAuthor supports the production of SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 conformant content so that corporations are able to create web-based learning content that can be easily integrated, delivered and tracked with other Learning Management Systems or Learning Content Management Systems.
Portable EXE files - With encrypted EXE files learners can play training content on their PC without leaving editable presentation files on their hard drive.
Secure content - StreamAuthor provides several ways to protect content from unauthorized access during distribution: encryption, password protection and date expiration. This protection provides greater security for files being distributed via a server. Trainers can set an expiration date on executable files (EXE) to increase the security of their content. The time can be set to 10, 30, or any number of days from the first viewing of the file.
